Ben Exeter, the New Democratic Party (NDP) candidate for Central Leeward was arrested and charged yesterday.

According to reports, Exeter was at the time in front of the court House in Kingstown with opposition supporters, protesting the results of the 2015 General elections.

Reports indicate that Mr. Exeter disobeyed the orders of the police officers, at which time he was stopped.

Mr. Exeter was then reportedly arrested and charged for assaulting the police and resisting arrest.

Mr. Exeter who has been granted bail is due to appear in court soon.
