The National Day of Prayer Committee, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation and Ecclesiastical Affairs will be observing October 2, 2017, as National Day of Prayer in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The theme of the observance is “Arise and go to the Father.”

The main objective of the day is to bring the nation together in prayer with a number of activities scheduled including interactive/on-air prayers via radio, workplace devotions, school devotions, Facebook Live prayer sessions, and social media ‘Post a Prayer’.

The activities will culminate with a National Prayer rally at Heritage Square from 3:00-6:00pm next Monday.

The organizers are urging the public to actively participate in this event and take the opportunity to pray for this nation as well as our regional neighbours who were affected by hurricanes Irma and Maria.

This is the tenth year the National Day of Prayer is being observed in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
