St. Vincent has recorded its first ever event where a mother presented her son to be called to the Bar.
Matthew Ferrari, age 40 was graced with being presented to the Bar by his mother Attorney Margaret Hughes-Ferrari last Tuesday October 17.
According to the Searchlight Newspaper, Mrs. Ferrari stated “My Lady, Matthew will be the third generation of my family to be called to the Bar. His grandfather, my father, the late Edward Alexander Hughes, practiced law in this country from 1943 until his death in 1989.”
She added that shortly after the passing of her dad, she was called to the Bar herself, the first daughter of an attorney to do so.
Matthew Ferrari stated in brief that, “It is an honour to be called before this institution. I will do my best to uphold the honour and dignity of the profession.
