More females than males have tested positive for COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This information came from Epidemiologist Ms. Tamara Bobb during a virtual press conference held by the Ministry of Health earlier this week.

“In terms of the gender, more females; and that is forty seven percent have been infected with COVID-19 compared to males with just thirty five percent of cases being males. We still have eighteen percent for which we cannot identify the gender and so we will update that as time goes by.” Miss Bobb said.

A total of 827 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in ST. Vincent and the Grenadines, 651 of which are active. Two COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in the country. 174 confirmed CVID-19 recoveries have been recorded.
