A fresh batch of classified government records was found at a second location, of US President Joe Biden’s private office in Washington DC, in a growing political embarrassment for the White House.
The BBC said the matter is currently under review by the US Department of Justice.
Former President Donald Trump is facing a criminal investigation for allegedly mishandling classified files.
The report says it is not quite clear, when or where the additional tranche of files was found by Biden aides.
Classified documents, along with all White House records, are required to be turned over to the US National Archives after an administration’s time in office.
