The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Service says that models indicate that moderate to heavy showers can result in rainfall accumulations near 1 and ½ inches during today, with a further 2 inches overnight.

The Met Office said this is due to a Tropical wave which is affecting the islands.

It said the forecast is: Generally cloudy and breezy with scattered showers, some of which may be light to moderate, periods of rain and possible isolated thunderstorms.

Residents and motorists near rivers, streams and low lying areas should be alert.

Small craft operators and sea bathers should also exercise Caution for above normal sea swells.
