The Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture, along with the SVG Tourism Authority and other tourism stakeholders, said they are proud to be celebrating another Tourism Month in November.

In his Message to mark Tourism Month, held on the theme “Tourism is everyone’s business. Live it! Love it! Embrace it!” Minister of Tourism, Cecil McKie said the Ministry has put together a diverse program of activities that would span November and draw attention to the tourism product, its importance, key stakeholders and the  collective responsibility to the tourism industry.

Minister McKie said this is the third year that the Ministry is using this theme, noting that theme challenges every Vincentian to take ownership of the industry and to express that ownership in a personal, caring and responsible way.

“Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a tourist destination, but it is firstly, our home. The MWe therefore, have a responsibility to be the primary caretakers of our tourism product. We have to ensure that our home is in pristine shape and that we offer impeccable service to visitors when they come.the theme is centered around tourism is an industry that cannot thrive without a collective, people-centred approach,” said the Minister said.
