The Ministry of Education in the face of adversity brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, has collaborated with principals and students of various schools to execute an initiative known as ‘school in a bag’.

This information came from the Chief Education Officer Mrs.Elizabeth Walker during her appearance on VC3’s Roundtable Talk.

With the ‘school in a bag’ initiative the Ministry of Education works along with principals and teachers to package notes and various study material for students who may not have access to online learning platforms. Mrs.Walker said that the content of the package would vary depending on the grade level of the child.

Principals and teachers will be responsible for designating what the need of each individual package would be.

The ‘school in a bag’ packages are intended to reinforce concepts that were previously taught at the school as well as administer exam quizzes. Packages can be collected at the school or at the curriculum development unit.
