Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hon. Keisal Peters while speaking on radio recently, discussed the possible future importance of COVID-19 vaccination to travel, and the problems not being vaccinated might present.

“In traveling, you know, we may not want to take the vaccine here because, you know, “I not going anywhere” but the need may arise for you to travel. You know, we never know what will happen, medical emergencies, god forbid, but we have to be prepared, and at the time a person may be ready to take the vaccine, the vaccine may not be here. So you run the risk of losing an opportunity, an opportunity to receive further medical care abroad or whatever it is, but the point is, that is an aspect we have to keep a close eye on.” Minister Peters said.

Vaccination numbers in SVG, according to the Ministry of Health’s most recent COVID-19 update dashboard stand at 10, 648.
