Vincentians have been assured that comprehensive legislation will soon be in place – to deal with a range of issues relating to Child Justice.

This assurance came from the Ministry of Social Development, Frederick Stephenson, during a signing ceremony here last month.

Minister Stephenson said he is hoping that the Child Justice Bill will be passed here at the end of this month.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the United States Agency for International Development and the OECS Commission, to facilitate the Commission of the implementation of the second phase, of the Juvenile Justice Reform Project.

The Project supports restorative and rehabilitative approaches towards child justice.
