With local cases of COVID-19 on the rise in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the rise, schools in the country have moved all learning online. The Ministry of Education however, has indicated which platforms they would prefer schools used. This came via an address by the Minister of Education Hon Curtis King.

“At the primary level, the platform that the Ministry of Education favours and has recommended is that of Microsoft Teams. At the secondary level, schools would have already been engaged in utilizing other platforms and we want to ensure that we are not disruptive and hence we will accommodate the secondary schools using Google suite as well as the Microsoft Teams platform, or a combination of both, because there are some schools that are doing so.” Minister King said.

As of the most recent release from NEMO, there are currently 515 local cases of COVID-19, the majority of whom are linked to various clusters.
