Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Rural Transformation Hon Saboto Caesar, leaves the state today to participate in a Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism (CRFM/CARICOM) side event on Small Islands Development States (SIDS) Innovative Approach to Fisheries Management at the UN Ocean Conference in New York on June 8, 2017.
During the High Level United Nations Conference Minister Caesar will deliver the keynote address on Achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14: Scaling-up successful approaches to sustainable Fisheries Development and Management in the Caribbean SIDS Region through co-operation and partnership.
The side event will provide a forum to exchange views and share information on the ongoing initiatives to build capacity and improve management, conservation and sustainable use of fisheries to achieve sustainable development goal 14.
