A training session aimed at addressing the problem of reckless driving by some minivan drivers here will be convened this week at the Haddon Hotel Conference Room.

The two-day workshop on April 25 and 26 is being hosted by the National Omnibus Association (NOBA) and will be held from 9:00am to 3:00pm each day.

President of NOBA Mr. Anthony Bacchus said NOBA decided to organize this workshop because insurance companies are refusing to insure vans due to the recklessness exhibited by some van drivers on the nation’s roads. Hence NOBA is trying to build some confidence back into the insurance companies by hosting the workshop.

Mr. Bacchus said the workshop will focus on issues of road safety, customer service, hygiene, first aid, and the responsibilities and code of conduct for drivers and conductors.
