Two men who were charged in connection with the murder of a ten month old baby on October 7, 2016, and the attempted murder of his parents were freed yesterday, at the preliminary inquiry stage.

Richard McFee and Martin James were discharged at the Serious Offences Court after Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Mathias upheld no case submissions made by their lawyers, Israel Bruce and Grant Connell.

According to I-Witness News, Prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche said the men were discharged rather than the case against them dismissed, suggesting that the Crown may consider bringing the charges against the men again.

The baby, Mozari Lee, died after being shot in the chest at his father’s shop in Glen on Friday October 7, 2016.

His father, Mozart Lee, and mother, Shelly Ann Durham were injured in the attack.
