As St. Vincent and the Grenadines become exposed to food vulnerability as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Agriculture is taking steps to ensure that there is a support system in place, for farmers and other individuals.
The system, called the Love Box Initiative, is intended to provide support to families who may be experiencing food challenges.
The Love Box initiative is about caring for those in need.
So says Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar, while speaking on Shake Up on Tuesday.
Minister Caesar said they have structures already in place farmers to be a part of the program.
The Agricultural Minister also noted that farmers will benefit from 1000 citrus plants to be distributed.
