The MV Logos Hope, the world’s largest floating book fair, is bringing its international crew with their life-changing stories to St. Vincent.

After so many years away from this region, crewmembers are excited to return and anticipate an unforgettable time.

From November 21 to December 3, the Ship will be berth at the Kingstown Container Port where persons can experience the Book Fair and International Café.

Its onboard book fair offers an expanded selection of over five thousand different titles of books covering a wide range of subjects including Science, Sports, Hobbies, Cookery, Arts, Medicine, and Languages.

Vincentian, Cherish Mayers was one of the ship’s international crewmembers having served on Logos Hope’s in 2013 while the ship was in Sri Lanka and Abu Dhabi as a member of the Short Term Exposure Program serving on board as one of the bookfair staff.

Cherish has great memories of her time on the ship and is excited to welcome Logos Hope in to the country she loves.

“On board I learnt how to be adaptable and how important encouragement is working as a team member” –Cherish said, adding “I also learned the value of patience and love when you work with people from so many different cultures in one place.”

There are 400 volunteers on the ship from over 60 different nations.

An official opening ceremony will take place from 10:00am tomorrow on board the ship.
