“From all indications, LIAT will be liquidated,” this is according to Prime Minister of Antigua Gaston Browne. Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves addressed the liquidation, revealing that he is in talks with airlines One Caribbean and SVG Air to ensure travel in and out of St.Vincent and the Grenadines.

“The decision was taken to put all the arrangements in place under the law in Antigua and Barbuda for LIAT to go into liquidation, and that is going to move with some speed.”

Dr.Gonsalves went on to reveal that he is in talks with One Caribbean and SVG Air in order to fill the gap that will be caused by the absence of LIAT.

“My central concern is how we utilize One Caribbean and SVG Air, for us to move people in and out of St.Vincent and the Grenadines, visitors and Vincentians”

The Prime Minister said he had already had a meeting with One Caribbean and was scheduled to have a meeting with SVG Air today.
