Regional airline LIAT says it is ready to transition its operations to the Argyle International Airport (AIA) here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines which will officially open on Tuesday February 14, 2017.

Shavar Maloney, Corporate Communications Manager at LIAT, speaking on WEFM’s morning programme today via telephone from Antigua said that from Monday night February 13, into Tuesday morning February 14, LIAT will be transitioning its equipment from E.T. Joshua Airport to AIA.

“Out IT department has already done their initial testing and on Monday they will do the final test…our office has been set up so the ground equipment will be moved during that period as well as our office from Cargo. Our Quick Pack and Cargo Office will relocate to the cargo terminal which is located at Argyle as well. So during the night of Monday February 13 and the early morning hours of February 14, LIAT will be working to ensure smooth transition from E.T. Joshua to Argyle,” Mr. Maloney said.

Mr. Maloney said the ferrying of LIAT Aircraft from E.T. Joshua Airport to AIA will be done on the evening of February 13. He said LIAT’s first flight out of AIA will be flight 560, which is scheduled to depart at 6:45am on February 14.

The LIAT Corporate Communications Manager said the airline’s staff will be at Argyle International Airport from 4:30am on February 14.

He is reminding passengers that check in begins two hours before departure and closes forty five minutes before departure.
