LIAT has announced the cancellation of 23 flights for today, September 18, as Hurricane Maria threatens several islands in its network.

The cancelled flights are LI 310 St. Vincent to St. Lucia, LI 312 from Antigua to St. Kitts, LI 313 from St. Kitts to Antigua, LI 362 from Barbados to Antigua, LI 520 from Antigua to St. Kitts, LI 521 from St. Kitts to Antigua, LI 521 from Antigua to Barbados and LI 512 from Barbados to Antigua.

Also cancelled are LI 512 from Antigua to St. Kitts, LI 374 from Barbados to St Lucia, LI 375 from St. Lucia to Barbados, LI 524 from Barbados to Dominica, LI 513 from St. Kitts to Antigua, LI 523 from Antigua to Dominica, LI 523 from Dominica to Barbados and LI 309 from Antigua to St. Lucia.

LI 309 from St. Lucia to Trinidad, LI 364 from Barbados to Dominica, LI 364 from Dominica to Antigua, LI 381 from Antigua to Dominica, LI 381 from Dominica to Barbados and LI 773 from Antigua to Barbados have also been cancelled.

LIAT will also continue to monitor conditions on the ground in St. Vincent which is under a Tropical Storm watch and will communicate any cancellations that may occur.

The airline said that “Due to the interconnectivity of our network and the size of Hurricane Maria, passengers who continue to use our services over the next few days should expect flight delays.”

LIAT regrets any inconvenience caused by the delays/cancellations as a result of the passage of Hurricane Maria.
