Iso Lynch, a 37-year-old labourer of Layou has been arrested and charged for Deception and Impersonating a Police Officer.
According to Police investigations, on October 30, 2017 about 10:30pm at Biabou, Lynch defrauded a 60-year-old Building Inspector of Biabou by falsely presenting himself as a police officer.
Lynch was also charged for deceiving the Building Contractor and dishonestly obtaining EC$2,000 from him with the intention of permanently depriving him of it.
Lynch is expected to appear before the Magistrate Court to answer the charge.
Meanwhile, Police have arrested and charge Julia Phillips, a 45-year-old Customs Officer of Bequia for the theft of EC$43,626.91, the property of the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The money was reportedly stolen at Bequia between August 15, 2018 and September 25, 2018.
Phillips is expected to appear before the Serious Offences court to answer to the charge.
