Residents of Layou and surrounding communities will have an opportunity to be sensitized about issues relating to Fire Safety at a public consultation this month.
The Layou Neighborhood Watch will host the public meeting on Firefighting and the use of Fire Extinguishers on March 30th at the Roman Catholic Parish Hall in Layou, commencing at 6PM.
President of the Layou Neighborhood Watch, Carlton Brown, said the initiative forms part of its community outreach programme.
Mr. Brown said as the community continues to grow and develop, it is imperative that persons are better able to respond in the event of a fire.
