There has been an increase in the alert level of the Kick ‘em Jenny volcano, this is according to a release from the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO).

The current alert level is now Yellow, which means that the volcano is restless, and the seismicity and fumarolic are above the historic level or other unusual activity has been observed. This has lead to the enforcement of an exclusion zone of 1.5 km from the summit of the volcano.

All mariners are asked to strictly observe the 1.5 km exclusion zone and residents in the Southern Grenadines are asked to monitor releases from the Government of Grenada, the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), and the Seismic Research Centre (SRC).
