Preliminary judging in the 2016 I Square Competition organized by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) will commence next week.

The Secondary Judging events will take place at the National Insurance Services’ (NIS) Main Conference Room on Monday November 16th, 2015 from 10:00am and will see presentations from the St. Vincent Girls High School, St. Vincent Grammar School, Thomas Saunders Secondary School, Petit Bordel Secondary School and Mountain View Academy.

The Union Island Secondary School will present at that school on Wednesday November 18th, from 1:00pm.

The Tertiary Judging events will be held on Monday November 23rd, from 10:00am at the National Insurance Services’ (NIS) Training Room and will see presentations from the Division of Arts, Science and General Studies; the Division of Technical Vocational Educational and the Division of Nursing.

Following the preliminary judging events, teams will be selected to advance to the finals scheduled for January 2016.

Through this I Square competition, the NTRC hopes to tap into the students’ creativity by challenging them to develop and present projects in the form of ideas and mobile applications that can implement new or improve existing systems in the current departments within the local Public Service.
