Jamaica’s netball team, Sunshine Girls, claimed victory on home soil against England Roses, to win the inaugural Horizon Series 61-53, in the fourth and final game of the Horizon Series on Tuesday.

This win secured them a 2-1 series victory and the Rhone Hornsby Trophy.

Romelda Aiken-George led the way for Jamaicans with 40 goals from 43 attempts, while Shanice Beckford netted 21 from 25.

For England, Liv Tchine scored 42 goals from 47 attempts and Louis Pearson got 11 from 13.

The Horizon Series will take place over four years between the two sides, with two matches in England and two in Jamaica each year.
