Investors on the Grenadine island of Canouan are considering the possibility of constructing a hanger at the Argyle International Airport (AIA).

Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves made the announcement, during a News Conference this week.

Dr. Gonsalves said the investors are also looking to construct a hotel in the near future mainly to accommodate the staff of airlines which would be going to Canouan and to service these jets.

The Prime Minister’s announcement comes in the wake of the official opening of the multi-million dollar Glossy Bay Marina in Canouan last month.

He further stated that Minister of Economic Planning, Camillio Gonsalves has been having active discussions with entities in the state regarding the construction of a hotel here to be managed by a reputable private sector entity.
