Forty exhibitors of Vincentian products and services are involved in a two-day Everything Vincy Carnival Expo which commenced today Wednesday July 3rd – hosted by the local Investment Promotions Agency (INVESTSVG)
The expo which is being held at Heritage Square in Kingstown will run from 9 am to 6 pm on both days.
From midday today, there will be a Best of the Best competition during which a panel of judges and persons in attendance will vote for the best pelau, callaloo soup and souse. From midday tomorrow there will be a Queen and King of the Grill competition.
Export Development Manager at Invest SVG Peter Edward, said year, Vincy Mas attracts an influx of visitors, and presents a prime opportunity for the business community – to market and promote its high quality products and services further afield.
Edward said after having held two major Expos in October of 2017 and 2018, many of the exhibitors and members of the public requested an event that would capitalize on the visitors who arrive for Carnival festivities – so Invest SVG has taken up the challenge.
There will be a Calypso Night from 5 this evening, while tomorrow will feature a Soca Night also from 5 pm.
Persons can also expect Carnival giveaways and sampling.
