A Hurricane Watch has been issued for Dominica although Isaac has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm.
A Hurricane Watch means that hurricane conditions are possible within the watch area in this case within 48 hours.
Martinique and Guadeloupe are also under Hurricane Watch.
At 11:00 am Tropical Storm Isaac was located at 14.6 North and 49.7 West or 775 east-southeast of Dominica.
Maximum sustained winds are 70 miles per hour.
According to Dominica News Online, Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit said Dominicans should take all warnings seriously.
He also called for calm as the storm nears.
