Romelle Mitchell, a 28-year-old Labourer of Grenada have been arrested and charged for Possession of Ammunition.

According to Police, Mitchell was met at Barrouallie on May 8, 2018 at about 4:30pm with 11 rounds of 9mm ammunitions in his possession, without a license issued under the firearms act.

He appeared before the Serious Offence’s Court on May 28, and plead guilty to the offence. The matter was adjourned to June 5, 2018 for facts and sentencing.

Meanwhile, Police have arrested and charged Barrick Williams, a 30-year-old Farmer of Rose Hall for Possession of Controlled Drugs.

According to investigations, on May 27, 2018 at 5:45am Williams was met at Rose Hall with “Two thousand one hundred and thirty two grammes of cannabis”, with intent to supply it to another.

He appeared before the Serious Offence’s Court on May 28, and plead guilty to the charge and was fined $3,000. He paid $1,500 and was given until October 31, 2018 to pay the balance or 10 months imprisonment in default.

In addition, Police are investigating a report of Wounding made by Brian Robinson, a 35-year-old Labourer of Rillan Hill.

According to reports, on May 18, 2018 at 5:30pm Robinson was maliciously wounded by an unknown man, who shot him on the right side of his chest with a gun at Rillan Hill.
