Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says his government will continue to focus on rebuilding Dominica in the New Year.
Dominica suffered serious damage during the passage of Tropical Storm Erika on August 27th and the Prime Minister said the government continued to work assiduously to assist affected communities.
He stated that he is pleased that night landing has been restored in a shorter period of time than anticipated at the island’s main airport. This he said was done with improved technology utilizing solar-based systems.
According to the Dominica News Online, Prime Minister Skerrit indicated that last month his government passed all of the legislations that are necessary to give effect to policy decisions that are intended to enhance the environment for investment.
