80 Vincentians were on Tuesday recipients of grants compliments the Promoting Youth Micro Enterprises grants program, (PRYME).

PRYME, launched on March 17th, is spearheaded by the Minister of Finance, Economic Planning, Sustainable Development and Information Technology Camillo Gonsalves, and makes it easy for  Vincentian business owners between the ages of 18 – 40 years old, to start a business.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony on Tuesday, Finance Minister Camillo Gonsalves – said a fund of EC$2 million will be disbursed to successful applicants over the period of one calendar year, with each applicant being able to apply for up to $40,000.

Minister Gonsalves said, among the grantees, are persons who are involved in block making, customs brokerage among other businesses.
