The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has announced that there will be a decrease in prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas.

A release from the Agency for Public Information states that the decision comes in the exercise of the powers conferred by the Price and Distribution of Goods Act (CAP 161) – ordered by the Governor General, Sir Frederick Ballantyne, who makes the order effective immediately.

Persons living in area one, within a radius of two miles of the court house located in Kingstown (approximately Kingstown to Arnos Vale on the windward side and Kingstown to Lowmans Leeward on the Leeward side will now pay $34.66 for a 20 lb LPG Cylinder; $42.08 for a 25 lb LPG Cylinder and $168.30 for a 100 lb LPG Cylinder.

Persons living in area two, from the North-East to Langley Park and North-West to Keartons including all areas between Langley Park and Keartons will now pay  $35.66 for a 20 lb LPG Cylinder, $43.08for a 25 lb cylinder, and $168.31 for a 100 lb LPG cylinder.

And in area three, persons living in all areas on the mainland other than those falling within Area I and II will now pay $36.66       for a 20 lb LPG cylinder, $44.08  for a 25 lb LPG cylinder and $168.31 for a 100 lb LPG cylinder.

Persons living in the Grenadines will be paying $39.66 for a 20 lb LPG cylinder, $47.08 for a 25 lb LPG cylinder and $189.31 for a 100 lb LPG cylinder.
