The Government of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and the St. Vincent Geothermal Company Limited (SVGCL) will be advancing towards the drilling phase of the project.

The drill rig is expected to arrive in St. Vincent by the first week of April. The drill rig along with 190 40ft containers will be transported along the Windward Highway to the project site at Bamboo Range. Please make a special effort to attend and be on time. A series of public consultations to update on the general progress of the project and the likely impact will begin in Orange Hill on Thursday, March 21 at 2.30 PM at the Orange Hill Agriculture Biotechnology Centre. The meetings will continue in Byera on Friday, March 22 at 3.30p.m. at the Byera Square (between MarsTuckey and Cool Spot)  on Friday March 22 the consultations will move Biabou next to Biabou Playing Field at 5.30 PM

The Calliaqua community will be updated on Saturday, March 23 at 3.00 PM at the Calliaqua Town Hall. Georgetown will have a consultation on Monday, March 25 at 3.00 PM at the Dickson Methodist School Resident of Kingstown and surrounding areas will be updated on Wednesday, March 27 at 6.00 PM at the Arnos Vale Playing Field 7 and finally in Sandy Bay on Thursday, March 28 at 3.00 PM at the Sandy Bay Primary School The public is invited to attend.

Prime Minister Dr Gonsalves spoke about the OECS being strengthened by the entrance of Guadeloupe as an associate member.
