Fifty percent discount on Fertilizers provided to farmers

As a part of the Government’s COVID-19 Stimulus package for farmers, a fifty percent discount on the price of fertilizers has been provided.

Due to the centralized selling and delivery of the fertilizers resulting in mass gatherings at the Agricultural Input Warehouse the following guidelines will now apply:

1. All fertilizers will be sold at a 50% discounted price. Previously, only NPK fertilizer was discounted;
2. A farmer will be permitted to purchase a maximum of 20 sacks;
3. To avoid a large gathering at the time of purchasing, farmers can now make their payment to the Agricultural Input Warehouse prior to the arrival of the shipment of fertilizers; and
4. The Ministry of Agriculture will deliver the fertilizers to farmers at ten collection points at zero cost to the farmer.

The next shipment of fertilizers is due to arrive in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on August 30, 2020.
