Eminem has made his grand return! He dropped his 12th studio album titled “The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce).” This 19-track project features collaborations with JID, Big Sean, and BabyTron, and includes a sequel to his 1999 hit “Guilty Conscience.”
Leading up to the album release, Eminem teased fans with the lead single “Houdini,” which debuted on May 31 to widespread excitement for its classic Eminem vibe.
Alongside the single, Eminem also released a humorous music video, produced by Luis Resto and Eminem himself. The track, which samples Steve Miller Band’s 1982 hit “Abracadabra,” is featured as track 11 on the album. Additionally, the recently released song “Tobey,” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron, is included in the LP.
On Thursday, July 11, Eminem took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to advise fans on how to experience “The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce).” In a tweet, the Grammy Award-winning artist described the album as a concept album and encouraged listeners to follow the tracklist order for the best experience.
