There is greater need for our parents, teachers, counsellors and churches to work more closely together to make a greater impact on our students.

This is according to Minister of Education, National Reconciliation and Information St. Clair “Jimmy” Prince.

In his message to Mark the Opening of the 2018-2019 Academic Year, Minister Prince said that instilling values of tolerance, kindness and brotherly love in the children of our nation is essential.

The Education Minister extends hearty welcome to returning principals, teachers and students back to the classroom and a special welcome to the new students.

Minister Prince also implores students to stay in school and take learning seriously, as well as to listen to their teachers and show them the respect they deserve.

All schools under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation and Information reopened today, except the Georgetown Secondary School which will remain closed until Monday September 8.
