Two students of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus, were the recipients on Tuesday of bursaries from the ECGC Foundation Inc.
The awardees are Ms. Hannah Hamilton who is pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Educational Leadership and Management, and Mr. Kimron Shallow who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics. They were each awarded EC$2, 000.
Head of the Open Campus, Ms. Deborah Dalrymple speaking at the presentation ceremony this morning said this is the second occasion on which the ECGC Foundation INC has awarded bursaries to Open Campus students.
She expressed appreciation to the ECGC Foundation Inc. for the bursaries which she said will assist the students in pursuing their university studies.
Rachelle Haslam, Marketing Manager at the East Caribbean Group of Companies commended the recipients and pledged to the UWI Open Campus that the company will continue to support the institution.
Meanwhile, bursary recipient, Hanna Hamilton thanked ECGC Foundation Inc. for contributing to their academic pursuit and pledged to strive for excellence.
