Several Early Childhood Development educators are participating in a two-day training workshop, at Frenches House.

National Sensitization Exercises to Support an Integrated Operations Framework for the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Sector commenced this morning and is being hosted by the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and UNICEF.

Ethie Williams, Education Officer in the Early Childhood Division of the Ministry of Education in her remarks at the opening ceremony, said that the early years of a child’s life are critical to his or her future development.

Meanwhile, in providing an overview of the consultation, Mrs. Sesira Simon, Head of Education Management Development Unit at the OECS Commission, said that as part of the OECS Commission new education sector strategy, attention is being given to having a unified approach to the delivery of quality Early Childhood services.
