Dr. Ralph Gonsalves

During his address to the nation on Monday night, Prime Minister Dr. Hon Ralph Gonsalves called for the dropping of what he called “the unproductive and unnecessary political or personal” arguments against mask wearing.

“In the process, I urge too, that we drop the unproductive and unnecessary political or personal arguments of the altered advice by the WHO and others on mask wearing. We ought not to permit sophistry on this matter to cloud our judgment, on the realization that the settled scientific advice is that mask wearing by everyone is a useful tool in helping to slow or halt the spread of COVID-19.” Gonsalves said.

As of the most recent COVID-19 release; One hundred and nineteen (119) persons have recovered, four hundred and eighty-one (481) cases remain active and two persons (2) persons have died from the complications of COVID-19.

A total of six hundred and two (602) cases of COVID- 19 have been reported in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
