Rapper Drake has filed a defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group, accusing the company of promoting Kendrick Lamar’s 2024 diss track “Not Like Us,” which allegedly contained false and harmful allegations about him.

The lawsuit, filed in New York federal court, claims the song implied Drake was a pedophile and incited vigilante responses, citing the use of cover art showing his Toronto home with markers suggesting registered sex offenders nearby.

Following the song’s release, a shooting at Drake’s home injured a security guard, and two trespassing attempts occurred, events the lawsuit compares to the “Pizzagate” conspiracy.

Drake alleges Universal prioritized profit over artist safety.
