Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves was sworn in as Prime Minister yesterday evening for a historic fourth consecutive term after his Unity Labour Party (ULP) won the General Elections on Wednesday December 9th.

Dr. Gonsalves along with Deputy Prime Minister, Sir Louis Straker and Attorney General, Mrs. Judith Jones-Morgan were sworn in at a ceremony at Government House.

In his remarks shortly after taking office, Prime Minister Gonsalves expressed appreciation to the electorate for returning the ULP to office for another five year term.

Dr. Gonsalves also promised to be Prime Minister for all the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The ULP won 8 of the 15 seats in the National Assembly, with the other seven seats going to the New Democratic Party (NDP).
