The Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA), is celebrating World Water Week from Tuesday March 15th to Tuesday March 22nd.

Chairman of the CWSA, Mike Browne in his message to mark the occasion said that this year’s theme: “Better water, better jobs,” allows the world to focus on those persons who are connected to water in employment.

Mr. Browne said the CWSA has planned a series of activities for this week, including a thanksgiving ceremony and cleanup activity at Walvaroo that were held today; visits to schools; and a Secondary Schools career day scheduled to be held on Thursday.

The CWSA Chairman said that here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines we have top quality water, and since the water here does not have to be pumped using electricity this allows for consumers to pay a reasonable cost for the water they consume.
