The COVID-19 Task Force has issued an advisory to the public for the May Day holiday. The advisory contains recommendations similar those given in the Easter Holiday advisory not too long ago.

In regard to social gatherings, the task force advises against river limes, boat rides, beach picnics, and parties.

Operators of minivans are advised to continue their service on this day to transport workers in essential services and to continue vehicle hygiene practices while they do so.

Within the advisory the public has been asked to continue the appropriate hand hygiene of washing thoroughly for at least 20 seconds as well as physical distancing of at least three feet between each other

These recommendations for limiting close contact and making close contact safe will go a long way towards reducing the spread of COVID-19. St Vincent and the Grenadines has now recorded a small import related cluster of COVID-19.
