The Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute CARDI, in collaboration with the Banana Accompanying Measures (BAM) is holding a stakeholders consultation today on the preparation of business plans for the development of a number of agricultural facilities.

These facilities include a poultry processing plant, an abattoir, green house parks and the La Croix and Langley Park Palletization Centres and will be part of BAM’s objective towards the development and modernization of agriculture.

It is expected that, as a result of the Consultation, both the stakeholders and the project consultants, will be better informed as to the key factors and parameters required for the completion of acceptable and workable business plans.

The consultation began at 9:00am at the National Insurance Services Training Room, and during the course of the session, stakeholders from varying segments within the agriculture and related sectors, will be asked to engage and contribute in the review of the business plans for their finalization.
