Varying concentrations of Saharan dust will continue to affect the Caribbean region, including St. Vincent and the Grenadines over the next few days. This is according to a release from the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment.

Due to this the Ministry has cautioned that the Saharan dust has the potential to cause the following health effects: dry cough, sore throat, sneezing, runny nose and itchy, watery eyes.

The Ministry of Health is urging those with respiratory diseases such as asthma and persons with pre-existing heart disease to keep any and all medication on their person at all times in case of an emergency.
