This country’s Commissioner of Police Colin John has pledged renewed methods of operation – to ensure the safety of citizens and visitors.

Commissioner John who made the pledge during his independence message said they have seen a general decrease in crimes; also in murders as this country enters the 11th month of the year

In the release Commissioner John said the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is making use of this glorious opportunity to renew at forty (40), by reflecting on the structure of the Organization, as it implements new methods to make the Organization more efficient to combat the challenges – of this technological age effectively.

He said the citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines generally hate evil and love good, which is evident by the fact that the law breakers are a significant minority.
Commissioner John commended the public, noting that the citizens have been supportive of the police and have been by and large their brother’s keeper.

He added that he is mindful of the fact that the force must stay “switched on” and take as much proactive measures as possible to prevent, detect and prosecute crimes, through the DARE program, the Police youth Club,Crime prevention exhibitions,Pan against Crime, Police on the Beat program and mostrecently, the sports against crime initiative.
