Colin Clifford Bernard Graham has been tipped to represent the Opposition New Democratic Party (NDP) in the East St. George (ESG) constituency.
A release from the party says this comes after the group concluded its candidate selection process during an election on August 17, 2017.
According to the release, Graham emerged victorious over the other two candidates: Bert Francois and Ingrid Punnet.
The next step in the selection process is the ratification by the Central Committee. This is scheduled to take place soon.
The leadership of the NDP says it is satisfied with the high level of integrity and transparency that characterized the climate in which the election in East St. George was conducted.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves speaking on Star FM this morning said that Mr. Graham will be replacing a formidable NDP candidate, Mr. Linton Lewis.
