The Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture is collaborating with several local agencies to reconstruct a Cayo Village at Argyle, just adjacent to the International Airport site.

Word of this came from Ms. Annielle Beache, Tourism Education Officer, speaking on Tuesday at a press conference at the National Insurance Services (NIS) Training Room.

Ms. Beache said the Cayo Village to be constructed on the Eastern side of the Argyle International Airport, will be a replicate of one that was discovered in 2010 during excavation works at the Airport site at Argyle.

According to Ms. Beache the Village will be constructed on approximately 21,741.27 square feet of land housed within a 3.6 acre sector that has been designated as a Heritage Site.

She said a team from the Leiden University is scheduled to arrive here on Sunday January 24th, for a period of two weeks to help in constructing two houses on the site.
