Leaders from across the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), including Prime Minister Andrew Holness, say they will seek an urgent meeting with United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres – in a bid to resolve the ongoing political developments in Venezuela.

According to RJR News, Prime Minister Holness along with leaders from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Montserrat, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, as well as the foreign ministers from Grenada and Suriname met by video-conference yesterday, to discuss the situation in Caracas, where President Nicolas Maduro is under pressure to step down from office.

They re-affirmed their collective position of non-interference and non-intervention.
