Police have arrested and charged Zakeem Bess, 25 year old Fisherman of Bequia for the murder of Ottley Ollivierre, 31 year old Fisherman of the same address.
According to investigations, on October 9th 2020 at Paget Farm, Bequia the deceased was allegedly shot in the neck with a flare gun by the accused. He was hospitalized and later succumbed to his injuries on October 17th 2020 at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
The accused who was already in police custody on a charge of Attempted Murder, was rearrested and charged for the offence of Murder. Ollivierre’s death is amongst the twenty-four (24) homicides recorded for the year 2020.
Bess is expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court, for an arraignment.
