Barbados Ministry of Health and Wellness are reporting an outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) at the Geriatric Hospital.
In a statement, the country’s health authorities said that visits to the institution on the outskirts of the capital are now restricted due to the outbreak.
Since the start of the Virus 2020, 106,000 infections have been recorded and there has been a confirmation of 569 deaths.
60.5 per cent of the population has received one type of vaccine – while 57.2 per cent had been fully vaccinated against the virus.
